Terms governing use of IJIF website and services
These terms describe the responsibilities of users and publishers when using IJIF website functions, evaluation services, public records and related facilities.
Conditions for using IJIF website and evaluation services
By using the IJIF website, publisher facilities or related services, users agree to provide accurate information, use the service lawfully and comply with the policies applicable to the relevant function.
Accounts & Security
Publishers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for activity carried out through their account. Account information should be kept accurate and current.
Journal Information
Publishers are responsible for the accuracy, authority and completeness of journal information and documents they submit. Information that is materially false, misleading or unverifiable may affect evaluation or public-record status.
Evaluation
Submission or registration does not guarantee approval, directory inclusion, a certificate or a particular IJIF Score. Evaluation is subject to the criteria and eligibility rules applicable to the relevant evaluation year.
Payments
Where a paid or priority service is offered, payment relates only to the service described for that option. Payment does not determine the evaluation result.
Public Records & Certificates
Approved journal information and certificate verification details may be made publicly accessible. Users should not alter, misrepresent or falsely reproduce IJIF records or certificates.
Acceptable Use
Users must not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with website operation, submit malicious content, misuse automated access or use the service for unlawful or deceptive purposes.
Availability
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the website and services available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security measures or technical events may temporarily affect access.
Intellectual Property
Website text, design elements, marks, certificates and other protected material may not be copied, altered or represented as originating from another source except as permitted by applicable law or express permission.
Restriction or suspension
Access or service may be limited, suspended or refused where necessary to protect the website, investigate misuse, address materially inaccurate information or enforce applicable terms and policies.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised when services, policies or applicable requirements change. The current version published on this website applies from the time it is made effective.
